New Wish List Catalogue Now Available Online

Catholic Extension today announced that in the 25th year of its annual Christmas Wish List, donors will now be able to access and select wishes from the 2012 Wish List catalogue through its website, www.catholicextension.org. Wish List donations will still be accepted via phone and mail.

The Christmas Wish List offers 25 special ways in which donors can support faith communities across America. Wishes span a variety of needs from mission dioceses across the country. Examples include helping a Catholic Mission serve youth on an Indian reservation in the Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota; supporting a priest’s travel to isolated communities
in the Diocese of Juneau, Alaska; and educating seminarians in Diocese of Salina, Kansas.

After the Christmas holiday, website access to the Wish List will continue year-round. The new online catalogue will be reloaded regularly with new wishes from mission dioceses, offering donors the opportunity browse through and select specific wishes to which they’d like to contribute.

“Catholic Extension’s Wish List is an important way we connect our donors with the very real needs of Catholics in mission dioceses. So it’s fitting that on its 25th anniversary, we’re offering a new way to conveniently access the Wish List online,” said Catholic Extension President Father Jack Wall.

“With 11 million Catholics living in 91 poor mission dioceses across the country, donating to items on Catholic Extension’s Wish List will go a long way in building faith, inspiring hope and igniting change. These are more than just gifts – they’re investments in our faith.”
